About photobooks.
In the academic year 2015/16, I am starting a new project at the Academy of Visual Arts in cooperation with “das buchlabor” of the University of Applied Art in Dortmund, Germany. The leading topic will be photo book. As a preparation, I will write a series of blog posts on photo books looking into my own book collection. The question “what is a photo book” will be part of this journey through my book shelf.
To define the start, which book will be discussed first, is a difficult decision. The order of the posts will not reflect a hierarchical order (which book I consider as most important, most valuable or most attractive), it is rather a spontaneous choice.
